There are much bigger, higher, and much more pressing issues going on in our world for us American Christians to be caught up in the current shenanigans we seem to be entertained by on a daily basis.
In the Bible, the book of Hebrews 13:3 says to remember those who are in chains as if we are chained with them. As a whole, the church in America has not been doing that at all. We seem to be preoccupied with foolishness. Others, I wouldn’t say are preoccupied with foolishness, but are focused on other very important work. I have the deepest respect for them. This, however, needs to be a rallying cry for all of us.
In places like Nigeria, Sudan, Iran, China, and many more places, Christians are being slaughtered for serving the same Jesus we Christians in America serve. Pastors are being dragged outside of their churches and brutally murdered in front of their congregants. Church buildings are being burned down with the saints trapped inside. In places like Sudan, Nigeria, and Mauritania, Christian (and even some muslim) women and children are being bought and sold for as little as $20.
We can and should not remain silent.
I won’t make this article long. I just want to take this time to lovingly and urgently plead with those who have any kind of platform to make noise about global Christian persecution and the slave trading of Africans. You can share however you feel led to, but I will share some resources below for you to start with.

And if you are a listening type of person, a new podcast was just released by my good friends at Free Black Thought, hosting another dear friend of mine, Charles Jacobs; a modern day abolitionist and founding member of the African Jewish Alliance and iAbolish. Listen below.
It’s past time that Christians raise our voice about this, and I implore all who read this to do so. They need our voice.
The world needs our voice.
"Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body." Hebrews 13:3
There is no doubt we have not paid enough attention to this admonition. Actually it is a commandment.
Such an important message. 🙏
